While Pluto was most commonly associated with death, he also held the title of the god of wealth. This was due to the belief that valuable resources, including gold, silver, and gems, were located deep within the earth. In this way, Pluto was considered not only a figure of fear but also a bringer of prosperity, especially in times of drought or economic hardship.
